JULIEN ROUSSEL. WRITER | PRODUCER | DIRECTOR
Julien is a recipient of an MFA Degree in Film and Television Directing from the American Film Institute (AFI) in Los Angeles. Before moving to California, Julien obtained a Licence és Lettres degree with a major in French Literature and a minor in Film History and Aesthetics from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. Concurrently, he worked as a 1st Assistant Director and a Production Coordinator for VPS, a Swiss production company specializing in documentaries and commercials. Upon completion of his master's degree, Julien co-founded Generation Creative, a production company specialized in developing and producing public service announcements. He then partnered up with Anastasia Drake and co-founded White Swan Films. Julien is the writer/producer/director of Aimée Price, starring Anastasia Drake, Austin Peck and John Savage and winner of the "Jury Award" at the Boston International Film Festival. Julien's credits also include Coco Chanel: A Woman of Her Own—a documentary in pre-production—commercials, various short films in Europe and the United States such as Enfances, Mr. Personality and Something Between Us and TV shows for E! Entertainment, The Michael Jackson Trial (Italian weekly wrap-up) and Extreme Close Up. Julien is the co-writer of The Quality of Mercy, a 16th century feature length drama in development and of Reflection, a psychological thriller based on the award-winning short Aimée Price. |
